Eiza Gonzalez comes under fire for saying she gets movie roles because she's ‘too pretty’

13:18, March 21

Eiza Gonzalez has become the target of harsh criticism online after she claimed she didn't get a movie role because she was "too pretty."

The 34-year-old actress noted that her beautiful appearance harmed her career. In an interview with InStyle, Eiza said: “I remember how in many projects they told me: ‘She is too beautiful for this role. She's too sexy for this role.’ Then I would just ask, ‘What about Margot Robbie?’ She is the hottest and most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life!”

The Mexican star added that Latinos are held to different standards and admitted that she had "an identity crisis for a very long time" and even considered shaving her head to improve her prospects.

After the interview, many harshly criticized her on social media: “No, she’s just a bad actress,” “Damn, just play better...,” “I have another idea why she didn’t get the role,” “I’m glad she’s so tall.” thinks about himself."

Many found it hard to believe that this was the reason she didn't get roles. Another commenter called the actress "vain," and someone noted that she probably "got a ton of roles because she's beautiful," not despite it.
